Sponsor Truckee Meadows Tomorrow's (TMT) Accentuate the Positive event
Support quality of life improvement and get ad space in RLife Magazine

According to studies, 92 percent of consumers consider it important for corporations to contribute to nonprofits.*  Partner with TMT and promote your business to thousands of potential customers by becoming an Accentuate the Positive (ATP) sponsor today.

In return for sponsoring ATP, you'll receive recognition as a partner with a beloved community event, one-year membership to TMT, the only local organization measuring quality of life, and free ad space (at qualifying levels) in the October 2009 issue of RLife magazine.  Then invite your new clients to join you at the ATP luncheon to learn more about how your business supports community improvement.

Take advantage of this unique opportunity to leverage your advertising/promotional dollars with budget-priced ads in a high quality regional publication.  RLife is distributed to more than 30,000 residents throughout Washoe County, not including rack placement or regional visitors to our area.  You'll be reaching out to new and potential customers that your business may not normally target, and you'll also be supporting TMT's work.  Plus, RLife is a  publication designed to have a longer shelf life, ensuring that your message will be seen by more readers, more times, and not just thrown away in a day.

Why else should you sponsor Accentuate the Positive at the Peppermill Ballroom this October 9th?
  1. ATP is a prestigious community recognition luncheon that attracts close to 1,000 guests, so your sponsorship contributes to issues already important to your customers.

  2. TMT recognizes and awards “Silver Stars” at the luncheon for outstanding contributions to preserve and improve quality of life in the region, as measured by 33 community indicators -- one Silver Star for each indicator.
  3. Sponsors could also be selected for Silver Stars, so nominate your business later this spring and allow your employees to take pride in their work to balance economic, environmental and social accountability.
  4. ATP includes an interactive Avenue of the Stars showcase for sponsors, Silver Stars and others to exhibit how they support a prosperous, healthy and vibrant region.
  5. ATP is a biennial event, and our only fundraiser for TMT to continue serving northern Nevada through tracking the indicators and reporting improvement or decline through community wellbeing reports. Our indicator work and comprehensive reporting are a service that only TMT provides the region, but it requires resources.
  6. In addition to an ad in RLife magazine, sponsors also receive a luncheon table for 10, promotion at the event and via TMT's Web site/advertising, and 2009 TMT membership.
Your investment is a tangible business return that allows you to stay connected to the community.  It also allows TMT to develop the tools and approaches needed to ensure measurable indicators are used to improve the quality of life for everyone in northern Nevada.

So please join AT&TNV EnergySaint Mary’s and Wells Fargo and “click here” to sponsor ATP today!

Reno Aces Baseball Club
TMT's first-quarter meeting
March 19th, 7:30 a.m. at Remedees/Renown Health

Everyone is invited to join TMT in March to learn more about our innovation indicators, and how the Reno Aces Triple-A Baseball Club and new ballpark can become the next transformative community initiative.  There will also be time to network and recognize those actively "caught in the act" of improving the Truckee Meadows.

All TMT's meetings are from 7:30 to 8:45 a.m. in Remedees meeting rooms in the Center for Advanced Medicine-Building C at Renown Regional Medical Center. Mark your calendar for future meetings:
  • June 25 Civic engagement:  Legislative impacts on quality of life
  • September 24 Recreation:  the impact of public parks on our quality of life
  • December 10 Innovation and transformation:  Legends at Sparks Marina

TMT needs your membership now more than ever

TMT's work to update the quality of life indicators, research data metrics for each of the 33 indicators (including a valid community-wide survey), produce the 2008 Community Wellbeing Report and continue updating data measures on our Web site, drained much of the organization's operating funds over the last few years.  We couldn't have done this work without your membership contributions and corporate grant donations.

Yet, TMT is no different from other nonprofits struggling to raise funds today.  Until recently, TMT chose not to compete with service-providing nonprofits for local foundation grants because these nonprofits do much of the capacity-building work needed to improve the community's quality of life.  However, local foundations (corporate, family and private) also need evidence-based data to target where their investments will provide the most return to the community and people residing in the region.

For the reasons above, TMT has initiated a new program to raise needed funds in order to continue our indicator work.  This includes grant proposals to local foundations that may be unfamiliar with TMT.  If you have contacts with any of the local foundations, we encourage you to contact these individuals and let them know how you use the indicator data and why they should support TMT's work.

And please renew your TMT membership (or join TMT today) to help us continue improving the quality of life we all enjoy the the Truckee Meadows.  Not sure if your TMT membership expired?  Click here to view TMT's 2009 member directory.
