An Annual Look at Our Accomplishments

The New Year is the perfect time to take stock of Truckee Meadows Tomorrow's (TMT) accomplishments to continually improve quality of life through collaboration and partnership as a result of your support.

Part of what TMT accomplished was telling northern Nevada’s “story” through the numbers -- TMT’s Community Wellbeing Report.  TMT knows how to transform measurable indicator data into real community “stories” about how our wellbeing in northern Nevada is progressing—where we’ve been, where we are now, where we want to go and how we can get there.  TMT’s 2008 report also set the baseline for many of the community’s newer indicators, such as emergency preparedness, workforce development and renewable energy, among many others.

Special thanks to the following organizations that contributed grants toward the production of TMT's 2008 report:
  • Clark & Sullivan Constructors
  • Northern Nevada Business Weekly
  • Q & D Construction
  • Regional Transportation Commission
  • Renown Health
  • Reno-Sparks Chamber of Commerce
Part of TMT’s impact is told each day by individuals like you who have “adopted” one of the 33 indicators. Now, multiply your actions to improve the community by hundreds of adoptions, and you'll see the difference you make to move the Truckee Meadows toward a more sustainable future.

We take your investment in TMT seriously.  Since the indicators are the vital component of TMT’s programs, in 2008 we began a project to frequently update and graphically display data metrics online, rather than wait years to compile a new report.  As a result, most of the measures for the 33 indicators (those not requiring a research survey) now have more current data available on TMT’s Web site “quality of life” section.  Simply click on the “indicator category” you’re interested in, then click on “view data” to see which metrics have been updated.  And remember, if you’re a TMT member, you can download Excel indicator data files, which include graphics -- perfect for presentations and reports.

TMT’s accomplishments are because of what you made possible.   It's a striking reminder of just how important supporters like you are to so many people owning a business, living and working, or raising a family in northern Nevada.  Our community’s indicator work and comprehensive reports are a service only TMT provides northern Nevada, but it requires resources.  So please “click here” to become a member or renew your 2009 TMT membership today.  Your investment will allow TMT to develop the tools and approaches needed to ensure that indicator measures are used to improve the quality of life for everyone in northern Nevada
